FAQs

What’s the difference between therapy and life coaching?

Therapy (Kaitlyn, LCSW)

Disability-focused mental health therapy provided to individuals physically located in Florida.

Therapy focuses on:

  • Emotional processing

  • Trauma after injury or medical events

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Adjustment to disability

  • Grief and identity shifts

  • Clinical diagnosis and treatment

Therapy follows professional ethics, Florida state licensure laws, and mental health treatment guidelines.

Life Coaching (Justin)

Disability-focused life coaching available nationwide and internationally.

Coaching focuses on:

  • Goal-setting

  • Confidence building

  • Dating with a disability

  • Independence

  • Career direction

  • Accountability

Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and is not healthcare.

Is Kaitlyn licensed to provide therapy outside of Florida?

No.

Kaitlyn is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida and can legally provide therapy only to clients physically located in Florida at the time of their session — even if they are Florida residents traveling.

All therapy services are provided virtually throughout Florida.

Can I work with Justin if I am not in Florida?

Yes.

Disability-focused life coaching is available nationwide and internationally, as coaching is not regulated like clinical therapy.

Justin can work with clients in:

  • Any U.S. state

  • U.S. territories

  • Many international locations where English-language telecoaching is permitted

Does Justin provide mental health therapy?

No.

Justin is a life coach, not a licensed therapist, psychologist, counselor, or medical provider.

He does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, psychiatry, medical care, or crisis services.

Justin supports clients with:

  • Dating after disability

  • Confidence and independence building

  • Career transitions

  • Motivation

  • Day-to-day problem-solving

Can I work with both Kaitlyn and Justin?

Yes.

If you are physically located in Florida, you may receive therapy with Kaitlyn and coaching with Justin simultaneously.

Therapy focuses on emotional processing and clinical treatment.

Coaching focuses on practical goal-setting and life development.

Both services remain legally and ethically separate.
